Palm tree bark with a leather-like appearance, curves resembling a woman’s body and a heart-shaped cavity, fallen from the tree trunk.
The separation from the living tree leaves the bark with a lack. In the series of works, there is an attempt to deal with it. There is a longing to reconcile the absence. Sometimes the attempt leads to spoilage.
In work 1. The reconciliation carries with it corset-like cables.
In work 2. The patch emphasizes the strangeness between the two materials, and the repair is not successful, and exposes the absence even more.
Works 3 and 4, show the only way to mend the missing heart is to break through its boundaries and build something new.
The October 7 massacre in 2023, turned the world order upside down and the “missing heart” became “heartless.” The last work was created in the series in solidarity with the kidnapped women in Gaza – the missing heart is imprisoned by the heartless people in chains that are difficult to untie .
